How to get on board
Stage 1: Becoming Disability Confident Committed
To be recognised as Disability Confident Committed, the first level of the initiative, you just need to agree to the Disability Confident commitments and identify at least one action that you’ll carry out to make a difference for your disabled employees. You’ll also need to sign up to the scheme.
There are a number of ways to get started and we’ve got all of the information, as well as the technology supports to help you begin your journey.
Stage 2: Becoming a Disability Confident Employer
To move forward in the scheme and be recognised as a Disability Confident Employer, your organisation needs to self-assess around two themes: ‘Getting the right people for your business’ and ‘Keeping and developing your people’.
There are a number of ways to achieve this and we’ve got guidance, support, and technology to help you become a Disability Confident Employer.
Stage 3: Becoming a Disability Confident Leader
To reach this final level of the scheme, you’ll need to have already achieved stage 1 (committed) and stage 2 (employer). You’ll also have to have your self-assessment validated externally, and show what you have done as a Disability Confident Leader.
If you’re ready to take the final step and become a Disability Confident Leader, read on to find out how we can can help you to be a leading light in the Disability Confident arena.
