The Texthelp Group acquires Svensk Talteknologi AB to Strengthen International Assistive Technology Offering
The Texthelp Group is thrilled to announce the recent acquisition of Svensk Talteknologi AB (STT) from Skolon AB (publ). This collaboration marks the beginning of an exciting partnership that will further strengthen our presence in the Swedish market and allow us to make our tools available to even more educators and students in Northern Europe and around the world.
Specialising in assistive tools for reading and writing, Svensk Talteknologi has been a key player in the education sector for over 25 years. Having STT join the Texthelp Group means that we will be able to offer our shared customers in Sweden a wider range of assistive technology and even better experiences. This is part of Texthelp’s wider plan to bring together the best technologies for our users in Sweden.
But that's not all! Our partnership with Skolon extends far beyond the Swedish market. Together, we are embarking on a long-term international collaboration. This means that all of Texthelp's tools will soon be made available through Skolon's platform in relevant markets worldwide. We're beyond excited about the possibilities this collaboration brings, as it enables us to reach and support even more users around the globe.
Martin McKay, CEO of Texthelp, expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition, saying, "At Texthelp, we have an ambition to bring together the best language technologies from around the world. This partnership will allow us to maximise the support we can give to our users. I am excited that STT is joining the Texthelp Group. We also look forward to the collaboration with Skolon in our continued development in the Swedish market and other international markets, where we will now work on gathering the best technology to be able to help even more people in the field of reading, writing, and maths. Together we will be able to support even more people in Sweden and beyond."
Oliver Lundgren, CEO of Skolon, said, “This acquisition and collaboration is a win-win for both of us. We at Skolon get the opportunity to focus even more on our platform which gathers the best edtech tools for teachers and students, both in Sweden and in Europe. Texthelp, which is a world-leading player in its field, gets the opportunity to further develop the Swedish market for assistive technology software. Texthelp will be a strategically important partner for us both in the Swedish market as well as international markets, and will also contribute to a stronger offer for our users.”
The Texthelp team is thrilled to welcome Svensk Talteknologi AB to our family. This acquisition not only strengthens our presence in the Swedish market but also accelerates our progress towards our global literacy goals, taking us one step closer to helping improve the literacy and understanding of 1 billion people by 2030.
